Can we use an outside officiant? |
| |
You are
welcome to use an outside officiant or musician if you wish,
although this will not affect the cost of the ceremony.
Please note that if you are
using an outside officiant, your order of service and program will
need to be worked out with them in advance, and not with the Wedding
Chapel's minister. The outside officiant must be in contact
with wedding director at the chapel at least a week before the
wedding. Your ceremony donation does cover an officiant,
though gratuity is always appreciated. |
|
Can we use our own organist? |
| |
No, because of the unique
tracker organ, we only let organists who have familiarity with the
chapel and the organ. However, keep in mind the formal ceremony donation covers an organist.
You will have the chance to meet with the organist and minister well in advance
of your wedding day to plan the service, according to your own traditions and
wishes. |
|
Can I have a wedding Singer? |
| |
Yes!
We welcome wedding singers. If you would like our
organist/pianist to accompany them, you will need to work out
additional arrangements with the performers for rehearsals. |
|
What about other musical instruments? |
| |
Absolutely! |
|
When can flowers be set-up?
|
| |
When a
couple reserves the chapel, they will have an entrance time
(generally about an hour or so before the wedding start time).
The couple may set up flowers at that time, unless other
arrangements have been made ahead of time. |
|
How long do I have for
Pictures? |
| |
The best thing anyone can do to have
time for pictures is to make sure the basic shots you are looking to
do are scripted and organized. Try tell the largest
group to all gather in one place and only use one person to gather
the stragglers. While waiting for the largest group to
assemble, try getting some of the small shots out of the way.
You have some time before the wedding and a little bit after the
wedding (30 min). Additional arrangements can be made for
couples who desire more time for pictures, but few need it. |
|
Do we officiate same sex
marriages? |
| |
Yes.
Couples desiring same sex marriages should investigate the laws and
rules pertaining to it, especially if the members of the couple are
not Massachusetts citizens or are intending to move to another
state. |
