To celebrate the sacred and universal joy of marriage love, the Wedding Chapel is a beautiful and popular location for wedding services of all faiths.

The Cambridge Swedenborg Chapel is a lovely Gothic-revival stone chapel built in 1901 by H. Langford Warren, the founder of Harvard's School of Architecture. It is located at 50 Quincy Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts, near the famous Harvard Square.  Couples find it a convenient and attractive location for Boston area weddings.

The Cambridge Chapel is on the U.S. National Registry of Historic Places, and thanks to overwhelming community support, did achieve city landmark status for external preservation on March 15, 1999.

The charming exterior leads you and your guests into a magical space that seems to be set apart from the world. From the stone work in the altar to the dark wood ceiling, the Chapel creates a space of simplicity and beauty.  The Chapel seats approximately 175 guests.   Our   sound system makes quality voice and music projection simple, and both piano and organ are available.

Parking:

Limited parking is available free of charge in the small lot on the Kirkland St. side of the church, which fits up to 8 cars. Limousines may park on Kirkland St. in front of the chapel walkway. Parking can be arranged through Harvard's Parking Office for the Broadway Garage, which is about a 5 minute walk from the church. Please contact the Harvard University Parking Office at (617) 495-3772 to reserve.

*Please note that the official and historical name as may be found on maps and church directories is The Cambridge Society of the Church of the New Jerusalem (Swedenborgian). For more directions, click here, or search for "Swedenborg Chapel" on Harvard University's interactive map.
