Policies of the Chapel
| Donation Policy | ||
| 1. A check or money order for five hundred dollars ($500.00) payable to
Swedenborg Chapel will reserve the date and the time of your wedding. Send to: The Wedding Chapel 50 Quincy Street Cambridge, Ma, 02138 This is a non-refundable deposit that will reserve your wedding date. The deposit will be deducted from your total wedding donation. Deposits must be received within two weeks of your initial meeting with our wedding director, or it may be necessary to reschedule your wedding. 2. If you reservation is made less than six weeks before the wedding date, a $500 deposit plus 50% of the total donation is due at the time of your reservation. 3. A check or money order for the balance of the donation is due one month before the wedding. This balance will be refunded if the wedding is canceled. If the wedding must be rescheduled, due to events beyond the control of the wedding couple, every effort will be made to accommodate a new date and time. Note: All donations made to Swedenborg Chapel for services of “The Wedding Chapel” are deductible as charitable contributions for income tax purposes. |

| For the formal ceremonies, your donation will cover an organist, a
wedding ceremony coordinator, and the services of the Wedding Chapel minister.
You will have the chance to meet with the organist and minister well in advance
of your wedding day to plan the service, according to your own traditions and
wishes. You are welcome to use an outside officiant or musician if you wish,
although this will not affect the cost of the ceremony.
Please note that if you are using an outside officiant, your order of service and program will need to be worked out with them in advance, and not with the Wedding Chapel's minister. The outside officiant needs to contact the chapel's wedding director a couple weeks before the wedding date. The Chapel's wedding coordinator will then work with you and your minister during the rehearsal, and make sure everything runs smoothly. |
